- I've registered - But how do I log in? |
At
the top of every page within Blue Direct there is an orange button
marked 'Log In'. This button sits at
the top right-hand corner of the page. Click it to go to the main Log
In area. |

| 3.02 -
I've logged in - How do I get back to my account? |
| Once logged in, and have been performing searches,
you may want to go back into your account. To do so you need to
click on the 'Your
Account' link that appears next to the Log Out
button on the top right-hand side of every page. This option is
only visible when logged in. |

| 3.03 - What
do all the options in my Account do? |
 |
| (A) |
Alphabet Display - Clicking
any of the letters on this panel will show you the businesses
you save into the address book. Clicking the 'All' link will
show you all of the businesses together. |
| (B) |
Saved Business - This is what a saved business
looks like in after being added to the address book. Displayed
are the Company Name (clickable - goes to more information
about the business, shows a map and any other related
information from other Shropshire Newspapers websites) and
Telephone number. |
| (C) |
Option 1 - This button allows you to ADD
Notes to the saved business. This can be useful for the marking
of
dates or prices of items you enquired about from the company.
You can EDIT or add ADDITIONAL notes to previous notes via
this button. |
| (D) |
Option 2 - This button will DELETE any previous
notes you made on this business (deleting a note cannot be
undone). This option will be visible once you have attached
a note to a business. |
| (E) |
Option 3 - This button allows you to VIEW
any notes you have attached to a business. Notes cannot be
edited via this button - Use the ADD button (C) to make additional
notes to a business. |
| (F) |
Option 4 - This button allows you to REMOVE
a business listing from your address book. Using
this option
will delete the business AND any notes you may have attached
to it. |
| (G) |
Paging Details - This panel show you the
number of pages there are for each section of your address
book (if applicable - if you only have a few businesses saved
this option will not appear). |
| (H) |
Edit your Personal Info - This link will
take you to your saved personal information (your name, address,
telephone nubmer etc. Ammendments to your details can be made
via this screen. |
| (I) |
Favourite Searches - This panel is for saving
any searches that you use on a regular basis, or want to keep
for future reference. Saved searches are made via the results
page - see Fig.
1.04 and
Fig.
3.09 for explanations on how
to use this feature. |
| (J) |
Txt Direct - This is a dedicated 'quick
box' that allows your to quickly view/change your mobile phone
number to allow you to recieve SMS messages from Blue Direct.

| 3.04 - How
do I remove my business from the directory? |
| If your business is closing or
moving to another county you will need to request your information
be taken out of the online directory and future version of the
Blue Direct book. This can only be done via Telephone. Our main
Blue
Direct contact line is (01952) 242424. |

| 3.05 - How
do I (un)subscribe from the mailing list? |
| To add / remove yourself to/from the Blue Direct
mailing list, 'Log
In' to your account, click on 'Edit your Details'
and underneath your personal details are options for subscribing
/ unsubscribing from our mailing lists. After making your changes
just press the 'Save' button. |

| 3.06 - How
can I change my personal information? |
| You can change any of the personal information
that you registered with by clicking the 'Edit personal Info' link
in your account. See Fig.
3.07 below for more details on the options that are editable. |

'Your Details' options explained... |

| (A) |
Full Name - This is your full name
(first & surname). |
| (B) |
Company Name - This is required if
registering for business use (see H). |
| (C) |
Location - These options inc. your
Address, Town and County and are usefull for your business
(for your free listing). |
| (D) |
Postcode - Your standard area postcode. |
| (E) |
Telephone - This is usefull when registering
your business (for your free listing). |
| (F) |
Mobile - This option is required if
you wish to use our TxT Direct service. Learn more about
this service here. |
| (G) |
Blue Direct Use - This option is for
selecting your primary use of Blue Direct. For example,
if you are a business wishing to use us for clients etc
then you would select 'Business Use'. If you are a private
individual you would select 'Home use (Private)' from
the dropdown list. |

| 3.08 - How
can I log out of Blue Direct? |
Once
logged in, on the top of every page within Blue Direct there is
an orange button marked 'Log Out'. This button sits at the top
right-hand corner of the page. Click it to 'Log Out'. |

| 3.09 - The
'Saved Searches' options explained... |
 |
| (A) |
Search Names - These are
your saved searches, listed in date saved order. The name
used will be the term you searched on. By clicking the
name you are able to perform this search again. This saves
you time and remembering what keywords/categories you used. |
| (B) |
Tick Boxes - These boxes allow you to
select one or more saved searches from your list - ready
for deletion (C). |
| (C) |
Delete selected Search - Clicking this
button will delete all ticked saved searches (B) that you
may no longer require. |
